Denton, TX (February 26, 2018) – Site Location Partnership (SLP), a Dallas-based site selection advisory firm, announced that United States Cold Storage (USCS), an operator of frozen food warehouses, will open a $34 million cold storage facility in Denton.

According to Adam Gawarecki, Vice President of Economic Development for the Denton Chamber of Commerce, USCS plans to invest about $34 million in building a large refrigerated and frozen food warehouse that will open before the end of the year. The company purchased 40 acres to build a new warehouse in western Denton.

According to the Denton Chamber of Commerce, the property will be situated on a 40-acre site on Jim Christal Road. The project is expected to create 67 new jobs with an average salary of $38,010. USCS recently closed on the land for the site, but has not yet released a timeline for construction. The company employs 2,500 people at 38 facilities in 13 states, including warehouses in Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington. Its clients include Kraft, Kellogg’s, Unilever, and Butterball.
