site location partnershipChicago, IL (September 20, 2010) – Site Location Partnership (SLP), a Dallas-based corporate site selection and economic development advisory firm, announced that its presence at IMTS 2010, the International Manufacturing Technology Show, was a success and resulted in a substantial number of new prospects interested in expanding their operations. SLP was joined at the show by several clients from Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Nebraska and Ontario. While in Chicago, the firm also participated in an exclusive networking event with other professionals involved in corporate location strategy, commercial real estate and economic development.

IMTS, organized by the Association For Manufacturing Technology (AMT), is held every two years in Chicago and is the largest industrial trade show in America. Marking the 28th edition of the premier manufacturing technology event in the world, IMTS 2010 featured 1,180 booths with 1.2 million net square feet of exhibit space. 82,411 attendees from more than 100 countries came to see the equipment, tooling, and services needed to maintain a competitive edge in manufacturing.

“IMTS was productive as it provided an excellent opportunity to develop new prospects and keep in touch with companies from the Chicago area considering expansion or relocation,” said Jenny Zeilfelder, strategic initiatives specialist at Site Location Partnership. “The show was extremely busy for us and more importantly, the quality of the visits to our booth was very good as we spoke with a lot of decision makers. We enjoyed spending time with our clients, potential customers and international visitors from around the world.”

SLP representatives met with corporate executives, community leaders, site consultants and real estate specialists at the networking event. “This venue presented the perfect setting to explore opportunities for strategic partnerships with industry peers and other site selection service providers,” said Mark Darce, senior vice president of development at Site Location Partnership. “We are confident that this gathering will facilitate new business for all parties involved.”
