site location partnershipChicago, IL (November 21, 2011) Site Location Partnership (SLP), a Dallas-based consulting firm specializing in corporate location strategy and economic development, announced its successful participation at Fabtech 2011. For the third consecutive year, SLP demonstrated its site selection advisory services which enable companies to identify the optimal location for expansion, relocation, or startup operations. SLP provided registration badges to clients from Indiana, Ohio and Texas who attended the show. The firm also participated in an exclusive networking forum dedicated to corporate site selection and economic development.

Fabtech is North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and laser event, showcasing the latest metal fabrication products and technologies. The trade show combines four previously independent shows that have for decades brought millions of buyers and sellers together from around the world. Fabtech 2011, held at McCormick Place in Chicago, featured 500,000 square feet of exhibition space, 1,200 exhibitors, and over 30,000 attendees.

Interest in SLP’s location advisory services was high as the firm attracted serious inquiries from a large number of domestic and international manufacturers and service providers, according to Site Location Partnership CEO Justin Thompson. “Fabtech connected us with many businesses considering new sites and facilities for their production, assembly and distribution operations,” said Thompson. “The people that visited our booth represented the appropriate functional disciplines, had site selection project details and were decision makers. We foresee a significant increase in new business and client activity from the companies that sought us out at the show.”

The Chicago networking forum brought together a distinguished group of site selection consultants, corporate real estate advisors, economic developers and government officials. “This forum was an exceptional opportunity for attendees to gain first-hand knowledge of the very latest in site selection trends, while establishing relationships with professionals who are at the forefront of corporate location decision-making,” said Mark Darce, senior vice president of development at Site Location Partnership. “All in all, it was a highly productive event, with good meetings, stimulating conversation and invaluable insight.”
