site location partnershipNorfolk, NE (June 2, 2010) – The Elkhorn Valley Economic Development Council announced that it has contracted Site Location Partnership (SLP), a Dallas-based corporate site selection and economic development advisory firm, to help facilitate job creation and corporate investment for the Elkhorn Valley region of northeast Nebraska. SLP’s Economic Development Practice will utilize aggressive business recruitment strategies to target expanding and relocating companies from industrial sectors.

“Our relationship with Site Location Partnership has proven to be a good investment,” said David Simonsen, executive director of the Elkhorn Valley Economic Development Council. “We represent three counties in northeast Nebraska and our staff struggles to keep up with day-to-day activities. SLP enables us to continue to get our name in front of decision makers and also provides a great opportunity for us to network with site consultants across the country. It is a valuable partnership that I definitely see continuing into the future.”

Particular emphasis will be placed on meeting with site selection consultants, attending targeted industry trade shows and utilizing the internet as a marketing tool, according to Site Location Partnership Senior Vice President Mark Darce. “We are excited to work with David and the Elkhorn Valley Economic Development Council. Their region has proven to be a prime location for manufacturing, distribution and service corporations with a national or global reach. Elkhorn Valley is clearly in a strong growth mode and we're excited to help each community achieve their economic development goals now and in the future.”
