Great Location

The New River Valley (NRV) Commerce Park is located in the south-western part of the Virginia in Pulaski County. The Park is located less than 30 minutes from three colleges/ universities: Virginia Tech, Radford University, and New River Community College, which provide a highly trained workforce. The region is home to approximately 400,000 people, with many more daily commuters.

Many Available Amenities

The NRV Commerce Park is approximately 1,000 acres of industrial zoned land. All utility infrastructure is in place (water, sewer, natural gas, fiber optic, and paved access) and industrial scale. The Park is located less than 5 miles from Interstate 81 and is immediately adjacent to the New River Valley Airport, which also has International Port of Entry #1412 and Foreign Trade Zone #238. Being close to major cities up and down the East Coast makes the Park and ideal location for shipping products to end users. Travel distances include Charlotte, NC: 156 miles; Washington, D.C.: 272 miles; Atlanta, GA: 395 miles; Columbus, OH: 373 miles; and New York, NY: 492 miles.

NRV Commerce Park Certifications

The NRV Commerce Park has been designated a Virginia Business Ready Site by VEDP (2016) and an AEP Quality Site- Large Park by McCallum Sweeney (2015). All site due diligence has been completed and shows the NRV Commerce Park is ready for development! Studies completed include geo-technical analysis, endangered species, historic resources, wetlands delineation, property survey, utility infrastructure review, title research, FEMA flood mapping, and others necessary to ensure development without surprises.

NRV Commerce Park Ownership

Virginia’s First Regional Industrial Facility Authority (VFRIFA) owns the NRV Commerce Park, which is a streamlined regional authority that has the backing of 11 member localities. The structure of VFRIFA provides industries with significant support, while minimizing delays and complications of working with complex organizations. VFRIFA’s sole purpose is to encourage economic development in the region, ensuring high quality of service and quick response. VFRIFA staff have significant experience with both U.S. based companies and international companies starting new operations in North America. In addition, VFRIFA staff believe in creating partnerships with industry locating in the area, and staff can provide support for a variety of needs to ensure new companies quickly feel at home in the NRV Commerce Park.
